You pay for the vehicle, not for each seat, so the more of you there are the less it costs each. Prices include GST and don't change on weekends or public holidays.

Departure times
Times are NSW time. From the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April, Queensland is an hour behind because it doesn't have daylight saving. So in summer a 10:00am departure from Byron Bay reaches Gold Coast Airport on Queensland time, and an airport pickup listed at 11:15am is 10:15am by the airport clocks. Your booking shows the Queensland time for those dates.
How the transfer works
- Journey time
- About 60 minutes, depending on traffic.
- Pickup and drop-off
- At the airport, and at your accommodation or home address in Byron Bay.
- Where we meet you
- Meet in the car park directly outside the arrival hall. Look for a White Hyundai. Contact the driver on the WhatsApp number.
- If your flight is late
- We monitor your flight and can wait up to 45 minutes for late flights.
- Sharing discount
- 10% off when you're happy to share the van, on departures where sharing is open.
- Luggage
- Standard checked luggage for every passenger. Tell us about surfboards or oversized bags when you book.
- Children
- Booster and car seats are available. A booster seat counts as one passenger, because of the space it takes.
Gold Coast Airport to Brunswick Heads and Mullumbimby
Staying north of Byron? We also run door-to-door transfers between Gold Coast Airport and Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby and the towns around them, in both directions. These trips are quoted rather than booked online: send us your flight and address and we'll come back with a price, usually the same day.
Questions about the Gold Coast Airport transfer
How long does it take from Gold Coast Airport to Byron Bay?
About 60 minutes, depending on traffic. Allow extra time on Friday afternoons and during school holidays.
How much is a transfer from Gold Coast Airport to Byron Bay?
From $189 for the whole vehicle. The price is for the vehicle, not per person, so it doesn't go up for a bigger group.
Is it a shared shuttle or a private transfer?
It's a private transfer: you book the whole vehicle for your group, and the price is for the vehicle, not per seat. On some departures you can tick “happy to share” when you book and take 10% off. Other travellers may then join you. Leave it unticked to keep the van to yourselves.
Where do I meet the driver at Gold Coast Airport?
Meet in the car park directly outside the arrival hall. Look for a White Hyundai. Contact the driver on the WhatsApp number.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Every airport booking asks for your flight number, so the driver can see when you actually land rather than when you were meant to. We monitor your flight and can wait up to 45 minutes for late flights.
Can you take us from Byron Bay to Gold Coast Airport?
Yes. We pick up from your accommodation in Byron Bay and work back from your flight time, allowing for check-in.
Can I bring a surfboard or extra luggage?
Standard checked luggage for every passenger is included. For surfboards, sporting gear or extra bags, add a note when you book or call ahead so there's room.
Is Gold Coast Airport the same as Coolangatta Airport?
Yes. Gold Coast Airport is at Coolangatta, on the Queensland–NSW border, and is often called Coolangatta Airport.
Do you go from Gold Coast Airport to Brunswick Heads or Mullumbimby?
Yes, both ways, by quote. Tell us your flight and your address and we'll come back with a price, usually the same day. More about these trips.
